I had one interesting game tonight against one of the top co-ed teams in our league. I'd say it was one I'd never forget, but let's face it, there's only ever going to be a couple of those as my memory's pretty horrid. This one ranks up there, but it wasn't quite the five-trick that I got the last game of the first season with my Co-ed indoor team. It was impressive, I'd say I played better than that aforementioned game, in spite of two errors.
The team was MUCH tougher than the one that I scored five on.
I scored one header off a free kick, I managed to sneak behind their defense, then with an excellent free kick from Brian, I headed in from a tight angle. My team applauded me for that.
I then set Dan up for a goal by taking it into the corner and passing it along the ground for a one-timer (brilliantly taken, might I add).
My two mistakes were mental errors, I assumed my team would run to where I placed the ball in order to get it, but unfortunately, they did not. This led to two breakaways that were fortunately not capitalized on.
I made a fool of one guy tonight by double sombrero-ing him, then passing the ball. The pass which was intercepted by him (it wasn't my fault, my target moved, I swear), so I chased him, and got it back. Then I ran off with it, and he tackled me from behind, forcing the foul. It felt really good to just mess that guy up.
I had a goal-line clearance as well, which was lovely. I have never cleared something right off the line like I did at that point, it felt great. I suppose I'm getting better at being lucky with positioning.
At another point, I actually blocked a shot by squeezing it between my legs, which I then hopped off a few feet with. I loosely rolled it to Derek who definitely did not pick it up, and then shouted my name as I was ran away to get a long throw. I suppose he kicked it lightly down the boards, and the other team picked it up (but did not score, thankfully).
It was a fun, fun game. I feel excellent. I drove Carissa home, and after sorting various things out and working my core, I'm ready to hit the sack. I ate well today too. I think. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were tacos, not to mention the tacos the night before for supper. If you couldn't gather from four meals in a row that tacos are one of my favourites, you might have gathered that there was not much else around. Both are a portion of the entire truth. Goodnight my beloved reader, even if you are an E-mail fishing bot*.

*Please note that there may not even be a reader at this stage of my journal. But regardless, for your entertainment only...
"I saw somebody reading his journal the other day.""Really? Who in their right mind would do that?"
"Nobody! They made a machine do it to find his E-mail for the distribution of penis enlargement ads!"
"D'OHOHOHO"
Well, that little gig is getting old fast. I need to sleep, it's three in the morn and I work tomorrow.
