Last night's journey home was a bit of a gong show, though a fun one. Here is a recreation my route home, notably out of the way. And each square on the map is a square mile. I went just over 18 miles out of the way.

The night before last, though, involved two games. One was with the Wannabees, and the other was with a team called Illusion, that needed a goalie.
As per usual with the Wannabees, we lost. 8-1. I scored our only goal, which was a rebound of my own shot that I just blasted in from close range. I got close a few other times, after running through the entire defense myself. I had some defense-splitting passes that went nowhere, but really, it was much of the same with them. They were tired though, we had no substitutes.
With Illusion, it seemed like my crossing/long balls were incredible. I must have put every cross I sent in on to my target's head or within feasible distance of, and I must've put about 5 or 6 of them into the box. Of course, nothing ever came of it, but it was still quite fun to see this happen. Now I'm not sure if I want to be a crosser/free kicker, or one who attacks the balls from the crosses and free kicks. It's all so fun.
Other than that, there's really not much to mention, other than a few good saves I made. I think the number was three. One was a really awkward deflection that I somehow got a hand on, another was a breakaway stop, and the last was a tip away for a ball that was going to the top corner, after I was caught way out of position.
My next game is Saturday, though, and I have my final exam tomorrow, which I haven't started learning the material for.
Time for an all-nighter.
